8 Days Morocco tour
DAY 01 : MARRAKECH :
Welcome! transfer to your riad or hotel. Visit the city Marrakech With official guide based on the time of arrival. Dinner and overnight stay in Riad.
DAY 02 : MARRAKECH – AIT WELL HADDOU – OUARZAZATE :
After breakfast, heading south to the village of Ait Ourir, the road narrows and begins to climb to cross the Tiz-in-Tichka pass at 2,260 meters, on the slopes the valley is wet with ‘Oued Tamesna. You will be able to see small villages kept alive by the waterways, at Tighremt and Irhem N’Ougdal… Continue to ait ben haddou village, the kasbah declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A Ksar fortified with crenellated towers, which is one of the most beautiful Kasbha in the region, we then arrive in Ouarzazate, Dinner and night at the Riad.
DAY 03 : OUARZAZATE – VALLEY OF ROSES – VALLEY OF DADES – GORGES OF TODRA :
After breakfast visit Ouarzazate, in the morning we leave to discover the people of Skoura (42 km), people who live in the valley of the palm trees, a walk through the palm grove, the secrets of the kasbahs and the lush vegetation. From here we will set off towards the Dades Gorges via Boulmane, a town that opens up between the banks of the Dades. The road is dotted with kasbahs and Ksour and the landscape has ochre, red and mauve hues given by the rock formations,the almond trees and the green vegetation along the river- From this point the road climbs for about 25km crossing rocky plateau where camels graze, the path is full of Ksour, oasis and palm trees then we will reach Tineghir, perched at 1350 m height and partly surrounded by a palm grove. Dinner and overnight in Riad .
DAY 04 : TODRA – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA :
After breakfast visit of the Todra Gorges. The walls rise perpendicularly and become narrower and narrower, reaching a height of 300m. After viewing this spectacular scenery, we will get to know the Tinejdad people (55km) to reach the Ksar of Touroug,(35km), a fortified town surrounded by beautiful oasis. Shortly after we enter the palm trees of the Jorf which extend to the Erfoud where the best dates in the country are collected. We finally reach the desert dunes of fine golden sand. The dunes of Merzouga can be reached by car thanks to the asphalt belt that replaces the old track. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel .
DAY 05 : MERZOUGA – ERG CHEBBI – DESERT :
After breakfast, we will leave for the desert passing through the 2 oasis of Merzouga, the nomadic camp, the village of Khamlia (black village), the mines of Mifiss, the desert plateaus where we will meet the Berber nomads in the desert and the oasis Tissardmine. Arrival at the hostel around 3 pm for the departure of the caravan with camels, to watch the spectacular sunset on the dunes. You will spend the night in an oasis 2 hours walk in the desert. Dinner and night in a camp in a Berber tent.
DAY 06 : MERZOUGA – DRAA VALLEY – ZAGORA :
Get up early in the morning to see the sunrise over the dunes!
Return by camel to the foot of the dunes. After breakfast, departure for Rissani, visit of the market. Rissani the first capital of Morocco and the former imperial city of the country. Our route continues on an asphalt road, towards the southern regions of the Sahara, then we reach the village of Alnif along a road that climbs through an arid landscape and we arrive at the village of Mercissi, in the heart of the desert. After Alnif, we reach the palm grove of Tazzarine, then continue towards Djebel Tizouguirine, passing through the village NKob, Tansikht, Draa Valley, then arrive to Zagora. Dinner and overnight at the Riad.
DAY 07 : ZAGORA – AGDAZ – OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH :
After breakfast, from Zagora we head towards Marrakech, through the Draa Valley (164 km of paved road), discovering many villages and oases. let’s go through Agdz and Ouarzazate. Return to Marrakech by the hill of Tiz-in-Tichka, in the heart of the Atlas. The slope will offer us a panorama with exceptional colors of the Houz valley. Dinner and overnight at the Riad.
DAY 08 : MARRAKECH – FLIGHT ITALY :
After breakfast , Accompaniment to the airport according to the time of the flight. End of our 8 Days Morocco tour.
