Tour 03 Days from Fes to Gorge Todra via Merzouga
DAY 01: FES – IFRANE – AZROU – ZIZ GORGES – IMILCHIL – TODRA GORGES:
After breakfast, departure for Midelt through the mountains and cedar forests of the Middle Atlas. We will pass by Ifrane, a very charming resort and Azrou, an important craft center, specializing in the work of cedar wood. We will arrive in Midelt for lunch. In the afternoon, destination Erfoud and Errachidia via the Ziz Valley and its palm groves. We will continue the road towards Imilchil. It is here, in mid-September, that the big collective wedding party takes place. to celebrate the Ait Haliddou tribe. The village is located in a mountain valley at an altitude of 2,500 m (8,200 ft) We will continue to Todra, dinner and overnight in Riyadh.
DAY 02: TODRA – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA:
After breakfast, visit the Todra Gorges. The walls rise perpendicularly and become increasingly narrow, reaching a height of 300 m. After contemplating this spectacular landscape, we will meet the Tinejdad people (55 km) to reach the Ksar of Touroug (35 km), a fortified city surrounded by magnificent oases. Shortly after we enter the palm trees of the Jorf which extend to the Erfoud where the best dates in the country are harvested.
We finally reach the dunes of the desert and arrive in Merzouga, around 3 p.m. for the departure of the caravan with camels, to witness the spectacular sunset over the dunes. We will spend the night in an oasis 2 hours walk away in the middle of the desert. Dinner and night in camp under a Berber tent, in the middle of the desert one of the most beautiful places where if you see the sunset and the sunset and a starry sky.
DAY 03: DESERT – ZIZ VALLEY – ERRACHIDIA – IFRANE – FES:
Wake up early in the morning to watch the sun rise over the dunes; return by camel to the foot of the dunes. After breakfast, departure for Rissani, visit of the Market, Rissani the first capital of Morocco and the former imperial cities of the country. Continue to Erfoud to visit the marble and fossil factory, then drive to the palm groves of the Ziz Valley. We will continue to Fez, arrival in Fez end of our service.
